Common Types of Complaints 📝

1. Defect in Goods 📦

  • Product doesn't work (Dead on arrival TV).
  • Product is damaged/broken.
  • Product doesn't match description (Ordered blue, got red).

2. Deficiency in Service 🛠️

  • Bank: Wrongfully deducted money.
  • Hospital: Medical negligence.
  • Builder: Delayed possession of flat.
  • Telecom: Poor network after payment.
  • Restaurant: Food poisoning.

3. Unfair Trade Practice 🎭

  • False advertising (Ad showed 100% pure, but mixed).
  • Misleading offers ("Free gift" but hidden charges).
  • Fake warranties.

4. Overcharging 💸

  • Selling above MRP (Maximum Retail Price).
  • Adding hidden charges not disclosed earlier.
Real Example

Your broadband company promised 100 Mbps speed. You consistently get 10 Mbps. This is deficiency in service. You can file a complaint in Consumer Forum and get:
