Problem 1 ๐Ÿ“

On 1st Jan 2024, A sold goods to B for โ‚น10,000. A drew a bill on B for 3 months. B accepted. On 4th Feb, A discounted the bill with his bank @ 12% p.a. On due date, the bill was dishonoured and Noting Charges paid by bank were โ‚น100.

Bill discounted on Feb 4. Due date is Apr 4. Time remaining = 2 Months (Feb, Mar). Interest = 10,000 ร— 12/100 ร— 2/12 = โ‚น200.


Problem 2 (Renewal) ๐Ÿ“

Continuing from above... On 4th April, B requested A to renew the bill for 2 months. A agreed provided B pays โ‚น100 Noting Charges in Cash immediately and accepts a new bill for the balance plus Interest of โ‚น200.
